• For 2 person, staying 2 nights, travelling to and fro by auto, visiting the Buddhist temple, and having only dinner on two nights, the cost will be: Rs. 8,200/-
If you wish, we could put you in touch with a priest/panditji who speaks your language to conduct the puja for you. The priest generally guides the pilgrim on the material that will be needed for the puja. If the pilgrim wishes, the priest will buy the material and charge the pilgrim for the material.
Take advantage of being in Bodhgaya to take a day trip by taxi to visit:
• Rajgir where both the Buddha and Mahavir Jain preached. Visit Pavapuri where Mahavir attained Nirvana.
• Rajgir and the magnificent ruins of Nalanda University– a UNESCO world heritage site. The
university was established in the 5th Century AD and survived till Bakhtiyar Khalji destroyed it in
1200 AD. It had 10,000 students in residence and 2000 professors. Students came from Sri
Lanka, Indonesia, China, Japan, Korea, Tibet, Persia, and Turkey to pursue Buddhist studies, and
other disciplines such as medicine, philosophy and astronomy.
